I have a very good friend whose aunt used to say “It’s nice to be nice.” And now he says it. And now I say it a lot, too. Because it’s true. And it’s going to be the guiding principle of today’s newsletter. 

Hello, by the way! This is Andrew, from the Too Beautiful To Live Podcast. I hope this email finds you well. 

You might notice that things look a little different around here today. Since we’ve been having technical issues getting this newsletter into some folks’ inboxes, I wanted to try something new: A text-only email with no goofy animated GIFs, no video, and no links to weird websites -- including our own. Just words today. And nice ones at that. 

So, in order to keep this simple (and to honor my friend’s aunt), I figured I’d just take a moment to share some of the nice things swirling around TBTL recently.  

First off, I loved that  we got to team up with our friends Meagan and Lindy at the Text Me Back podcast again this week. If you haven’t heard today’s show yet, you can check it out in your podcast feed or on our website (you know how to find us. You  don’t need a link.) This is the third (I think?) time we’ve recorded a show with them, and it’s always a blast. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. 

Speaking of friends, I just learned that our friend Cassie (who joins the show from time to time to talk about Cabbage Patch Dolls, stolen Christmas trees, and other hijinx) has moved back to the small town she grew up in after living in the big city for years and years. She’s going to join us on the podcast next week to tell us how it’s all going. Cassie is the best. 

And if you want to talk about REALLY nice things, let’s talk about the TBTL Valen-Tens Card Exchange! Listener Jami in Mississippi is organizing it again this year, and she asked me to spread the word. The only other nice thing on my mind right now is that I had a very pleasant dream last night about me and a few of my close friends going on a road trip to my buddy’s lake house with his family. It was quite nice! But I also  know you don’t really want to hear about my dreams, so I’ll  be nice to you and leave it there.
